Wonderfully helpful staff, great selection of books, and they are very good at reminding you due dates of books (i.e. email/text/etc)

Lots of open light, good selection, self checkouts available for movies and books

I ventured into the Coralville library on a Sunday afternoon just to see what sorts of things were offered and I was seriously blown away. This is one of the nicer libraries I've seen.

The library has a large children's section, a number of large shelves filled w/ DVDs, tons of magazines and some impressive fiction and non-fiction sections. I was most impressed with study areas that included a large number of computers and a variety of tables, large chairs and window seating.

They have a some great summer reading programs for kids and overall this place was straight up really nice - not gaudy like some libraries in larger cities - just nice enough to make hanging there very pleasant and not feel like you need to take a shower after leaving. Hours on Sunday are really nice for a some pre-week study/chill time and coffee is allowed inside as long as your careful!

Upon entering, there is a delightful coffee shop to the left that serves up some great brew, some solid froofy drinks that are all named things like "Charlie Brown" - chocolate and toffee - Classic, and some nice treats including Puppy chow, probably the best snack since time started!

I love the Coralville Library, the facility is gorgeous, the staff extremely pleasant and helpful and the coffee shop is a great meeting place. Oh, and I can usually find the book or film I want. Thank you Coralville Library!

A+

Small but good library, with open-fire reading area and computers for internet access. Plus it has one of those rare things: a designated space for teens. One star knocked off as its opening hours could be extended I feel.

Once you get into the actual library you are greeted by a lovely two story sculpture that extends from the basement up through the main level. I'm not smart enough to understand what it symbolizes, but it's pretty sweet and looks awesome on a sunny day! Two ladies were at the front desk and were very helpful with pointing me where I wanted to go.
