Another plus is the kids play area. It helps to tucker out your little ones before having to roam the shops, and having the food court and ice rink opposite to that adds an mid goal for the kids to look forward to.
This mall has a good selection of retailers and it was bustling with people in the Saturday I was there. Was worth the drive to spend some time with my son while he picked up some things. It's also a good place for university students to go to get away from campus life occasionally.
Having a B&N, Target and various kids toy shops definitely helps, as malls that just sell clothes and jewelry kind of limits your buying and gift options.
Some stores have been relocated and hard to get around because the new stores are not connected to the main mall. The store's I visited the customer service was outstanding, especially at Petsmart. They helped us immensely. Kay Jewellers the service was also wonderful, but then again we've spent a lot of money there.
Great place to go when you need something from there, like American Eagle, which you can only find in the mall. However, all non-retail attractions are for children, so it's not necessarily a great place for college students to go to enjoy their time.
I can't remember the last time I was in a mall, but I went to one last weekend while visiting my son at the University of Iowa. The Coral Ridge Mall brought back nostalgic feelings of when the mall was a fun place to hang out.
My son and I went to the mall to check out possible fun spots for my. 5 year old granddaughter. We were very pleased with the selection of activities for young children. In particular we were excited about the ice skating rink and the Build a Bear store. We will definitely return. I also got my hair cut and the salon was excellent. I was very pleased with my experience there.
Although malls are dieing, this one seems to be doing pretty well. I didn't notice any empty store fronts.
