He also owns a good Hookah bar “ Sultans hookah bar”. Nice place to relax after some good food.
Up to par with some nice places I used to eat at in Seattle, at least in terms of deliciousness. Atmosphere is a little lacking for now but it's the only Ethiopian food in Iowa that I am aware of so I don't care, it's Ethiopian food and I didn't even have to travel far for it. Service is friendly and attentive. Hope they open a location in Des Moines!
I've never had Ethiopian food before, so I didn't know what to expect. We got one of the combination platters, which I highly recommend for newcomers. My absolute favorite was the Fosolia (green beans and carrots). It was my husband's choice and I wasn't expecting to like it at all, let alone have it be my favorite! Overall the place was clean, the service friendly, and the food delicious. It was a fun experience to eat with the bread rather than utensils. They had chicken strips and fries for the kids so we didn't have a mutiny on our hands. We will definitely be back and next time I hope we can take in the traditional coffee ceremony (offered on weekends).
Really good food and service. Restaurant was clean, but very simple and sterile. Prices are high for the portions you get. Definitely worth visiting again when I need an Ethiopian fix, but the prices will keep it from becoming a regular stop.
Not only was our food amazing but the owner was able to help us pick something we liked based on what type of spices and meat we liked. He was spot on! We were not sure what to order since this was our first experience of Ethiopian food
